Need a hand with check-ins, sharing a moment, your notes, or staying safe? Start here.
Velly Live is a soft, kind place to check in with yourself and others. Your notes, moments, and videos are stored on your device — there's no account, and nothing is shared unless you choose to. You can report or hide any shared video and block anyone at any time; blocked people are hidden everywhere. Be gentle, and never share financial information with anyone.
After a short onboarding, you land on Moments. Open the You tab to set your name, a short bio, and an avatar — tap your avatar to pick a photo or choose an emoji. There's nothing to sign up for; you can start sharing right away.
On the Moments tab, tap the compose button to write how you're doing. Add a mood and, if you like, a photo from your library. Moments are short and low-pressure — even one quiet line counts.
Every now and then Velly Live gently "calls" you. Tap Pick up to open the camera, see yourself, and record a 10-second check-in. You can also start one anytime from the Check-in tab with Pick up now.
After recording, choose Keep for myself to save the video privately on your device, or Share with everyone to post it to Discover. Some days are just for you — that's perfectly fine.
The Notes tab is your quiet journal. Jot a thought, a worry, or a thank-you, tag a mood, and pin the ones you want to keep close. Notes are always private and never leave your device.
In Discover you'll see public check-ins as a calm grid. Tap a card to watch full screen and swipe up for more. Like the ones that resonate, and follow people whose check-ins you enjoy — their new check-ins are featured at the top of your Moments tab.
Turn on Surprise check-ins in the Check-in tab to get gentle, randomly-timed nudges to pause and record. You can switch them off in the App, or disable notifications entirely in Settings > Velly Live > Notifications.
On any shared check-in — in Discover or full screen — tap the ⋯ menu and choose Report, then pick a reason. Reporting hides the content from you immediately, and you can also block the author in the same step.
From the ⋯ menu, tap Block to hide someone everywhere in the App, or Hide this video to quietly remove just that one. Manage everyone you've blocked under You > Blocked accounts.
Your saved check-ins live in the Check-in tab. To remove one, use its menu and tap delete. If you shared a video publicly, you can also Make private or Delete it from its ⋯ menu in Discover.
Everything is on your device, so you're always in control. Delete any moment, note, or video from within the App at any time. Removing Velly Live from your device removes the content stored locally.
Make sure you're on the latest version of Velly Live and a supported iOS version. Fully close the App and reopen it, and restart your device if needed. If the issue continues, email us with your device model and iOS version.
